This week we held the 3rd Annual Pinewood Derby at Appareo. Once again, the cars did not disappoint. In accordance with our “Appareo style” derby there are 3 divisions:
Classic Boy Scout– Just like a traditional pinewood derby, there’s a specific set of rules regarding weight, dimensions and customization. In order to compete in this division, the car must comply with each of these regulations.
Vintage– This is a class for those people who still have cars from their Boy Scout days. We dig ‘em out of storage, dust ‘em off and let ‘em fly.
Unlimited Outlaw – Basically, the title says it all. The car can be modified in any way, but within reasonable safety limits and it can’t damage the track. This year, our cars in the outlaw division range from cheese on wheels to a CO2 propelled car.
