The US Army uses ALERTS hardware and software to aid in training the next generation of Army helicopter pilots at the Army Aviation Center of Excellence at Fort Rucker, Alabama.
The United States Forest Service uses Appareo ALERTS equipment to monitor the effects of firefighting use on their fleet of aircraft, as well as on the aircraft owned by their contractors.
Appareo developed the Head Attitude Tracking System (HATS) under a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) as part of an urgent Air Force request for the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter program.
