Mr. Weinmann holds a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from North Dakota State University and has taken Master’s classes in electrical engineering from Iowa State University. Before joining Appareo, he was an electrical engineer in the Satellite Communications Department at Rockwell Collins. While at Rockwell Collins, he was responsible for algorithm development and simulation for the satellite time acquisition on the MILSTAR FAB-T program. He assisted with the development of time and frequency tracking algorithms and system architecture and analysis for GHz satellite transceivers. He worked on internal research and development programs targeted towards the Joint Tactical Radio System, and is familiar with the Software Communications Architecture. At Appareo, he was the Engineering Manager for the ALERTS system that took only 12 months to complete, from development to certification. He has four patents pending and is an IEEE published author.
