Appareo developed the NaviCube® INS/GPS system as part of a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD). The NaviCube® couples a highly accurate GPS receiver with Appareo’s own MEMS-based inertial navigation system, yielding a lightweight, low-cost, miniaturized system capable of outputting detailed location, heading and attitude information for vehicle performance testing, guidance and tracking.
Appareo has also designed a powerful configuration and testing software application to accompany the NaviCube®, giving researchers and engineers a great tool for maximizing the potential of the system.
