Stratus ESG: Ready for Takeoff

Stratus ESG (experimental) began shipping a few weeks ago, and we’re excited to hear that installations have been going smoothly. [UPDATE July 5, 2016: TSO-certified Stratus ESG is now shipping as well].

One of the first installations was in an experimental 1998 Lancair 360. “Installation was simple,” commented the owner Wes Parker, a 1,500-hour commercial, multi-engine, instrument-rated pilot based in Greensboro, North Carolina (KGSO).

What makes this install so interesting is that Mr. Parker also converted his panel from a standard six pack of analog gauges to an iPad-centric design. “This design uses the portable Stratus 2S to drive my iPad display, combined with Stratus ESG for all my ADS-B Out requirements,” said Mr. Parker.

He is truly getting a glass-panel experience for a fraction of the cost. Check out the transformation!
