Last week, the FAA announced that it’s relaunching the $500 ADS-B Rebate Program effective immediately through October 11, 2019, or until the allocated funds are used. According to the FAA, they are making $4,900,000 available under the rebate program, which will fund 9,792 ADS-B Out installations.
There is a new update regarding the rebate program. The FAA has received several applicants complaints regarding the flight validation requirement under current winter conditions. Applicants have requested the FAA to grant a claim extension.
